The day of surgery

After a general anaesthetic you need an adult to drive you home and stay with you for the first 24 hours. From Swords that's a drive of about 26 minutes from the city centre in light traffic, more at rush hour. Even under local anaesthetic, plan a lift rather than the bus: you'll be sore, padded and in a compression garment.

Check-ups

Before you book
